Guide to C-Section Support

$35.00

As a birth worker, I’ve never found a guide that adequately prepared birth workers to support a c-section. Most birth prep goes straight from avoiding c-sections to trying to pick up the pieces in the event that a c-section is needed.

Which is a recipe for a confusing, uninformed, and unsupported birth.

How many of us unknowingly set our clients up for a negative c-section experience because of our own lack of confidence around c-sections?

How can we address specific concerns about c-sections with clients during prenatals?

How can we offer meaningful support to clients from the moment they come out of surgery?

This guide includes 30+ pages of information on how to best offer support through the many aspects of the c-section process as a birth worker.

It includes:

  • C-section myths

  • Reasons for a c-section

  • Different types of c-sections

  • How to discuss c-sections prenatally

  • How to prepare for a planned c-section with a client

  • Options for a more personal c-section

  • Sample c-section birth plan

  • The day of a planned c-section

  • Facilitating partner support

  • How to support in the OR

  • Info on incision, vaginal, and core care

  • How to facilitate c-section processing

BEFORE YOU BUY: Please note that his guide is recommended for birth workers who may find themselves supporting c-section birth.
